Our Staff
Deaconess Phaedra
Director
I joined the Living Christ Early Learning Team November 2021 after my family moved to Sun Prairie when my husband took a call to Bethlehem Lutheran Church as one of their pastors. We previously lived in Willowbrook, IL and worked together at St. John Lutheran Church in Dairen. I was called to St. John as their Director of Youth and Family Ministries and over the last several years received my Early Childhood Director qualifications in order to help with the Early Learning Center there.
I completed my Masters Degree from Concordia Seminary in 2007 with a major in Systematic Theology and Deaconess Certification. I have had the blessing to serve several churches, mainly working with youth and families.
My husband, Rod, and I have four children - Elijah, Jonah, Lydia, and Hannah. We love spending time together as a family, playing outside, and visiting the many parks in Sun Prairie.
Ms. Tina
Bears Teacher & Assistant Director
I joined Living Christ Early Learning Center 2's classroom in November 2017. I came to LCP with over 15 years of experience in the childcare field.
In January of 2022 was promoted to Assistant director. Loving the balance of teaching in the classroom, helping staff and families.
I love the outdoors and go camping, hiking, biking, and fishing with my husband, Ben, and our two children, Olivia, and Brianna. Our Oldest child, Noah, lives in Seattle making a life of his very own.
I am thankful to spend each day working with your children, helping them develop new skills, and watching them grow.
Ms. Christen
Zebras Teacher
I graduated from UW-Madison with a B.A. in Psychology. I met my future husband my junior year at a payphone! We moved back to my hometown a few years after I graduated to raise our children.
Our son, Jarett, was a football player at Carroll University and graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He now lives in West Allis with his dog, Prince. My daughter, Jacey, graduated from Gateway Tech with a degree in IT Software Development and moved to North Carolina with her best friend. I have been a preschool teacher for over 20 years.
Now that my husband and I are empty-nesters, we just moved back here to Madison. I am so excited to find a “home” here at LCELC.
My teaching style can best be summed up by a famous quote, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

Float
My name is Roxanne and I have been working at LCECL since March of 2020. Most of the time you will find me in the kitchen making the snacks for the children and staff members. Other times I will bounce from room to room wherever I am needed.
I have been working with children since I was 12 years old. It started when I was in 4-H working with Cloverbuds. I would go on adventures, do special projects and sing/dance to silly songs. I enjoy working with children so much that I went to school for it. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education. From there I was able to learn so much about the young child and the importance of teaching them. One of my favorite activities is sensory play: smelling something, making music, slime, I love how excited they get.
Outside of work I live in a small town called Arena. I live with my husband Nick and our dog Dusty. In my free time I love to cook, paint, listen to music, spend time with my brother, spoil my nieces/nephews, and hang out with friends. One day I hope to travel to all 50 states and possibly start a family of my own.

I grew up in Indonesia and had my bachelor degree in Agriculture. I served as a youth leader at church and various Christian programs at college in Indonesia. Then I attended UW-Madison to get my Master Degree in the Department of Southeast Asian Studies. I taught Indonesian language both in Indonesia and at UW-Madison.
I have a wonderful husband, two smart boys who are in High School and Middle School, and a cute (but barky) dog. As a family we love to travel, eat and cook, gardening, and play board games.
I am a member at the Living Christ Church and I like to help with the Sunday School and the Fellowship Board.
I have been working at Living Christ Early Learning Center for about six years now. I love to work with children. To help them to learn and grow healthy and happy. It is always fun and rewarding to see their smile and hear their laughter!
